Megahalems Rev.B

Megahalems Rev.B Features

  • Top fin made of scratch-resistant Stainless Steel to preserve shine.
  • Minimal air resistance between fins allowing best balance between noise and performance in range of 800-1200RPM. For all out performance, fan RPM at 1600 or above is recommended.
  • Heatpipes are lined up in a straight line to prevent air back draft allowing air to easily pass through the heatsink body.
  • Wide gaps between fins with mathematically calculated thickness to maximize best air-to-surface cooling rate.
  • Easy-to-install retention mechanism for LGA 775, 1366, and 1156.
  • Includes easy-to-apply high grade thermal compound, a perfect sidekick to all Prolimatech heatsinks.
  • New Universal Backplate to support all Intel platforms.
  • Two sets of fan clips for a duo-fan installation.

Step 1
In accordance to your platform, select the appropriate screw set and apply them to the topside of the backplate following the O-ring.

Step 2
For Intel LGA775 users, first please peel off the protective film on the LGA775 backplate spacer.
Step 3
For Intel LGA 775 users, have the dark side (the softer foam side) of the LGA775 backplate spacer facing down and place it in the center of the backplate as depicted in the illustration. For all other platforms such as Intel LGA 1366 and 1156, there’s no need for the usage of the LGA775 backplate spacer.
Step 4
Screw in by hand the shorter end of the double end stud to the selected backplate that is placed underneath the socket.
Step 5
Place each of the two aluminum strip adapters on each side of the socket.
Step 6
To stabilize the aluminum strip adapter, use the screw
nuts.
Step 7
Spread out evenly the thermal compound on the CPU and on the bottom of heatsink base.
Step 8
Place the heatsink on the CPU and insert the aluminum mounting plate between the heatpipes. Use a screw driver to tighten the spring-loaded screws to the aluminum mounting plate.
Step 9
Install the fan mounting clips to the heatsink. Secure the fan by the clips.
Step 10
Installation complete.
